SKKT Building Will Have Sports Facility

The condition of the Sasana Krida Karang Taruna (SKKT)'s buildings and facilities in the capital is worrying. Whereas, they are very important to accommodate and facilitate the creativity of young people for achievement.
The SKKT is important as an interaction place for young generation to actualize themselves and foster social sensitivity
Based on data of Jakarta Social Department, 30 percent of 134 SKKTs is damaged, As many as 15 of them are located in North Jakarta such as Sukapura, Cilincing, Ancol, Rorotan, Kapuk Muara, Kelapa Gading Timur, and Pegangsaan Dua Urban Villages.
Seeing this condition, Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) decided to study the SKKT revitalization plan in five urban cities and one regency in Jakarta. As planned, all SKKTs will be equipped by sports facilities, such as futsal, badminton, and library.

According to a former activist of the National Committee of Indonesian Youth (KNPI), his party will summon the Social Department, Sports and Youth Department, as well as Regional Archive and Library Agency to discuss such revitalization plan.
"But the plan can be implemented next year because of the City Budget (APBD) discussion this year is almost completed," he expressed.
Separately, the Presidium of Jakarta Community Association for Humanity and Justice (Humanika), Sugeng Riyadi hopes Jakarta Provincial Government to revitalize those damaged SKKT buildings as soon as possible.
"The SKKT is important as an interaction place for young generation to actualize themselves and foster social sensitivity," he finished.
